O’Donnell of College of the Holy Cross, these DVD lectures begin with the arrival of the first English colonists and continue to the chaos of the Civil War to the birth of the Computer Age and beyond. 1873: Bloody Sunday – Ending Reconstruction
1876: How the West Was Won and Lost – Custer. Despite a Sioux and Cheyenne warrior victory, this turning point marked the beginning of the end of Native American military resistance.
