Baby, it’s cold inside

Patrons are advised to dress warmly on Tuesday, January 5 as the Library will be much colder than usual. For much of the day, the only barrier between the Village Center (our temporary digs) and the Great Outdoors will be a thin sheet of plastic.  By the late afternoon, the hole should be covered by plywood. On Monday, we experimented on the temporary staff office and the temperature there dropped to a bracing, restorative 60 degrees. We expect at least a similar dip once work starts in the public area so if you are planning to work here, dress accordingly. A lot of banging, sawing and thumping is expected as well.

Also, demolition work began Monday, as scheduled, on the Transformation project.
