Reference Books – These are actual books made available through the Internet (which is a series of tubes). As they are reference books, they are not meant to be read or listened to from cover to cover like our downloadable audiobooks. Instead they are designed to be easily searched for particular bits of information.
However, the ebooks are distributed by different companies so there are different ways of signing in, searching, organizing and reading the materials depending upon the vendor. Right now, the library has access to electronic reference books through three vendors: Gale (the GVRL); Grolier; and Salem Press.

– This vendor has our broadest selection. Titles range from the 23 volume Encyclopedia of World Biography, to VideoHound's Golden Movie Retriever to the Gale Encyclopedia of U.S. History, and to various Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guides.
