Missing “The Handmaid’s Tale?”

Update! Inspired by this post, perhaps, Jill Lepore has an article on dystopian fiction in this week’s New Yorker (available through Zinio). We’ve added some of the titles she mentions onto the display shelf.

We’ve got you covered! Hulu’s dramatization of Margaret Atwood’s popular novel may have just ended, but
there are loads of similar books and movies to scratch that itch. We’ve made a list for you or you can check out the display in our Main Reading Room.

Can’t make it to the Library? Then download them. Most of our suggestions are available through Cloud Library, Overdrive, Hoopla, Total Boox and Freading.

By the way, even our self-check machine (a gift of the Friends of the Larchmont Public Library) is getting into the act, and will give you suggestions for downloads from Cloud Library.

If you want to learn more about our downloadable materials contact Librarian Liam Hegarty at whegarty@wlsmail.org or call the Information Desk (a.k.a. Reference) at 834-2281 x.3. We’ll be glad to answer any questions or set up a one-on-one tutorial.
