eBooks are for Everyone, now even more so
Many of our patrons are already aware they can adjust the font size, background color, etc of their Overdrive eBooks to compensate for vision problems. Now Overdrive App users can choose a font designed specially for dyslexic readers. According to Overdrive, the font exagerates the differences between each letter, thus making them less likely to be confused with each other. Right now the font is only available on books downloaded via the Overdrive App. That means it is unavailable for Kindle formatted eBooks (which are downloaded from Amazon) and for dedicated eReaders. It should work on all tablets however. If you have further questions contact Librarian Liam Hegarty, firstname.lastname@example.org or the Reference Desk (834-2281 x. 3).
