Thursday, September 23
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Thursday, September 23rd at 7:00 pm. We live in a time of endless digital distractions and listening challenges. We spend most of our time looking down or glancing at each other sideways. No one is listening. But everyone has an opinion and can’t wait to interrupt. Julienne B. Ryan – a proud NYC Queens native – sets us straight and gets us off the digital distraction tsunami. Her energizing and interactive talk is based on her humorous and timely book The Learned-It-In- Queens Communications Playbook – Winning Against Digital Distraction. She will explain how her winning communication plays promote calm, reduce conflict and help you become a better communicator.
With common sense and humor, Ryan calls on us to find our virtual “Front Stoop” (a Queens , New York term for steps) and seek places and moments for an “in your space
conversation” versus an “in your face “discourse. Not only will Julienne demonstrate what we need to do to build productive, interpersonal relationships, she will teach you to talk like a Queens, New York native. Julienne B. Ryan is an organizational storyteller, a keynote speaker, facilitator and coach.
