Starting tomorrow, Thursday, 8/6, the Village Center behind the Library will be available as a cooling station for our elderly residents or those with health conditions adversely affected by the heat. The center will be open from 10am to 6pm. You will be able to charge your devices, stay cool and use the WIFI. Note that cell service is very poor in the Village Center. You must wear a mask and social distancing will be enforced. Capacity is limited due to COVID rules.
In addition, the Town of Mamaroneck will open a cooling and charging center in the community room at the Hommocks Ice Rink beginning tomorrow, Thursday, August 6th. It will be open from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The Town Center, located at 740 W. Boston Post Road will be open this week between 8:30am and 4:00pm for residents to charge their cell phones and computers. The receptionist at the Town Center entrance will direct you to the charging station area. Facemasks are required and social distancing must be maintained while at the Town Center.
WiFi is also available on the Library lawn, both in front and behind the building. We have some outlets available outside for charging your devices. We continue to allow limited browsing by appointment inside the building. Please see below for details and to make a reservation.
