Zinio changes are sure to please magazine readers
Every year at around this time, the magazines available for download to your computer or tablet through Zinio are adjusted. This year we’ve gained Atlantic, Better Homes & Gardens, Eating Well, OK! and Parents. We lost Mother Jones, Us and Utne.
If you haven’t tried Zinio recently, you might want to give it another whirl. They have released a new version of the app designed especially for library users called, amazingly enough, “Zinio for Libraries.” This new app eliminates the multiple sign-ins which made the old Zinio app so frustrating. It is different from plain old Zinio, so if you haven’t switched to Zinio for Libraries you should consider doing so now.
We are happy to help you use this resource, so feel free to call Reference at 834-2281 x. 3 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll set up a time to get you started. You should bring your tablet and make sure you have the passwords necessary to install apps on the darn thing.
A note about our subscriptions: Us: weekly was our most popular magazine and we would have continued it if we could. However, it is no longer offered through Zinio. Ok! was the closest we could get. Don’t forget the Westchester Library System provides several magazines, including People, Time, and Sports Illustrated through Flipster, a Zinio-like service.
